Fakir Mohan University, Vyasa Vihar, Balasore, Orissa was established on 3rd July 1993 under Section 32 of the Orissa University Act, 1989 (Act 5 of 1989). The University is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the award of degrees and certificates. It is also accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Fakir Mohan University has the purpose to grow as a value and need-based quality education institution in the state of Orissa in general and Balasore and Bhadrak districts in particular. The University has the ultimate aim of producing qualified and competent manpower receptive to the changing scenario of the industry at the national and international levels.

FMU Postgraduate Admission 2019

The university offers 5 Postgraduate courses under the Department of Science and 8 courses under the Department of Arts as the Self Financing Mode. In addition, 7 courses are offered as the regular courses.

FMU MBA/ MCA/ M.Tech Admission 2019

For the forthcoming session, the admission details of M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. MBA and M.Tech are offered for the duration of 2 years and the duration of MCA is 3 years. 

The admission to above mentioned courses is based on the Odisha Joint Entrance Exam.

The counseling session after the declaration of the result will be held on the university campus.

All the qualified students must be present during the counseling session.

FMU M.Phil Admission 2019

Every year, the university admits young and bright scholars for the research work. It offers 13 M.Phil courses in regular mode.

The applications have to be filled online/ offline.

The eligible students have to appear for the compulsory entrance test for the admission to M.Phil courses under FMU.

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the entrance test and career marks based on the student’s performance in the qualifying degree.
